It was on my to do list and since I’m living now in USA I decided it’s a perfect opportunity to do it.
The drive from NYC was a bit too long especially when you are doing it in 2 days and after your day at work! Well it is how it is or you take your chance and free time and you do the things or you just stay home.
Once we arrived to Niagara Falls on the American part we were questioning ourselves are we in the right place? Don’t get me wrong we were expecting a big park that you need to drop you car off and walk for some time. What we found were shopping/ souvenirs shops plenty of food stalls and guess what high buildings.
This was our first impression and were a bit disappointed but later when we got to the Falls we have changed our opinion.
Niagara Falls is a set of three large waterfalls (Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls) between the province of Ontario and state of New York.
We didn’t wanted to do all the activities they are offering for sale. We decided to cross the border to Canada and do the boat ride there as the view in our opinion would be better. Once we got there we didn’t regret it!! The view is much nicer you can see the Falls better and you have more attractions and the city for us was more fun.
We purchased our tickets and went for a boat ride! This was the best part of the trip. While you are on the boat you get a red raincoat as you will get wet even with it on! 🙂 Its nice to admire the beauty and the power of water while they are giving you some information about the Falls. I don’t want to write it all down but just one impressive is that the annual average flow is 2,400 m3 per second!!!
You must come over here to see it and try the experience on the boat it’s something that you will never forget. Its loud you get wet and you will definitely have a lot of fun!! Two days here is more than enough. During the evening we went to see the city had some dinner and final walk with the Falls illuminated. At 10pm every day they have a fireworks another thing to do 🙂
our trip ended in the morning when we drove past the Falls crossed the border to USA and drove back home. We had a really good time there. See yourself 🙂 check my photos 🙂
